TESTIMONIALS FROM HOSTS
My husband, James and I, hosted Brian for a week. He was the easiest guest I could have envisioned. Brian was sensitive to our privacy and daily routine and was self-sufficient. He prepares his own meals and leaves no footprint. He anticipated the rhythm of our house and was helpful with daily tasks. Also our conversations over coffee or meals were uplifting with inspired thoughts. We were certainly enriched by his visit.

Brian stayed with my wife and me for his two evenings of talks and meditations in Central New York. (I coordinated one of the events at my church.) Kathy and I are not used to house guests, had never considered hosting a stranger. Brian never felt like a stranger to us. He brought joy into our home. Brian is a gentle, caring person and a considerate house guest. We never felt like we had to entertain him; I’m sure he would have been content to spend all his time working on his spiritual messages, meditating, praying, etc. He was happy to walk with us, great company at dinner. It’s always a treat to make new friends who become close friends. We feel that way about Brian.

Brian came to hold satsang at Rising Spirit B & B Wellness Retreat in Orono, ON. The best words I heard to describe the gathering were, “it was like being on a ‘Love Spaceship.’” We truly reached another dimension in that studio. Further to that, I had the honour and privilege of hosting Brian in my home for 4 nights. I had a beautiful time with him and each morning I would come into the kitchen, and he would begin with, “this is the best day ever.” I use that mantra every morning now. I soaked up the vibration of his energy, and the words we spoke were heartfelt. It was the easiest and most loving time I had spent with anyone in a very long time. Those days have truly changed me forever. Thank you, Brian, and everyone wants to know when you’ll be back!

I had the pleasure of hosting Brian Lottman, a traveling monk, recently, and it was truly an enlightening and joyful experience. His presence brought a sense of peace and serenity to my home. I very much appreciated the late night chats with him. Brian’s humility and kindness were truly inspiring, and he was a joy to host. I highly recommend welcoming Brian into your space if you ever have the opportunity.

I wanted to support Brian in holding Satsang in my city, so I invited him to stay with me and my husband while he was here. We didn’t know what to expect—after all, how often does one host a traveling monk—and were a bit anxious about how it would go. We needn’t have worried. Brian was an amazingly easy guest. He arrived with his own food and a few belongings. I showed him where to store his things, how the house is organized, and how we would share the space. He spent a lot of his time in his room praying and meditating while we went about our usual routines. We had a potluck in his honor and invited him to join us each evening for dinner and conversation—which was a joy. It was a true blessing and honor to host him.

Writing about Brian brings tears to my eyes and such warmth to my heart. My family of four welcomed Brian into our home, and it was like he became pure family within moments of his arrival. Brian came to host a Satsang at our Yoga Studio in Matla, NY but his blessings didn’t stop there. Waking up to his glowing personality, sharing family meals daily, and indulging in adventures in Upstate NY with him, my fiancé, and two beautiful daughters were memories we will never forget. Daily, Brian would share gentle and powerful insight and conversations that would take us to a level that fed ours and our children’s souls. And the laughter we shared? Oh the laughter! He is simply contagious in the most delicious way and speaks in a way that all languages understand, leaving no stone left unturned. We look forward to the day where we get to bask in each other’s presence again! Thank you Brian, for stumbling across Yana, our community, and our hearts.

We were honored this past weekend to host Brian Lottman, the Traveling Monk, for his talk and later mantra session at the Unity Spiritual Center of Williamsburg, Virginia. Brian is a spirit-filled bringer of joy and light, and I truly believe I am speaking for the entire congregation when saying that he would be welcome back soon and often.
Here is a child of God who really, really, walks the walk. Speaking as his host, it was nothing but a pleasure seeing him around the house, feeding off of his divine cheerfulness, and talking to him about the most important things in our earthly lives. Even our little Yorkie lit up with enthusiasm whenever Brian entered a room. Brian was the textbook example of a perfect guest, and myself and my wife highly and unreservedly recommend booking him for a satsang wherever you happen to be reading this from.

While Brian was here he and I laughed and talked, meditated, and prayed together. We broke bread together, and he was kind and gentle to my two dogs who loved him in return. He is quiet and kind. I would say yes to him again. If you have any doubts, I wouldn't. It's a nice experience and one that if you enjoy people and having friends over it's like that. A friend.
